Beschrijving

Our 6MW 20MWh solar storage system installation in Nigeria delivers industrial-grade power for an integrated factory, farm, and residential complex. This facility faced unreliable grid supply and escalating electricity costs that threatened production schedules and farm operations. After deploying the 6MW 20MWh solar storage system, monthly energy expenses dropped $108,000+ while securing 24/7 operational continuity across all three zones - factory production, agricultural processing, and staff residential housing.

The deployed 6MW solar PV system paired with a 20MWh containerized lithium battery energy storage solution delivers three core benefits:

Peak Shaving - flattens the load curve during Nigeria's peak tariff windows (typically 7-10 AM and 6-11 PM), reducing expensive demand charges that make up a significant portion of industrial electricity bills in Nigeria.
Load Shifting - stores massive daytime solar generation for nighttime factory operations, farm cold storage, and residential lighting.
Backup Power - keeps critical production lines, agricultural cold chain, and residential areas running seamlessly through grid outages and power fluctuations.

The integrated Energy Management System (EMS) intelligently coordinates battery charge/discharge cycles based on real-time tariff signals and load demand across all three zones. Before leaving our factory, every containerized energy storage system undergoes rigorous 72-hour continuous stability testing, including charge-discharge cycling, thermal performance, and grid simulation.

Our team of experienced engineers worked alongside local Nigerian engineers to provide on-site technical support, installation, commissioning, and grid synchronization. The remote monitoring platform tracks system performance in real time, helping the facility achieve its projected 108,000+ USD monthly savings and an approximately 24 months payback period - after which the system continues to generate free solar electricity for over 25 years.

Veelgestelde vragen

Why does an integrated factory, farm, and residential facility need a 6MW solar + 20MWh storage system?

This integrated facility runs 24/7 across three zones: continuous factory production, agricultural cold chain processing, and residential housing. Nigeria grid instability combined with high commercial electricity tariffs ($0.30/kWh) makes solar-plus-storage essential. A 6MW PV system with 20MWh battery storage addresses energy costs, peak demand charges, and backup power for all three zones simultaneously.

What is the monthly electricity bill saving with this 6MW + 20MWh system?

Calculated based on the local commercial electricity tariff of $0.30 per kWh, this 6MW system can generate approximately 900,000 kWh per month (assuming ~5 peak sun hours/day in Nigeria), delivering over $108,000 in monthly electricity bill savings. Additionally, the 20MWh battery effectively cuts peak loads to reduce demand charges, which typically add 30-40% to commercial electricity costs in Nigeria.

Hoe lang duurt het om de investering terug te verdienen?

Based on the current local electricity rate ($0.30/kWh) and the facility's 24/7 operational profile across factory, farm, and residential zones, the system pays back in approximately 24 months. After that, the system continues to generate free solar electricity for more than 25 years under warranty.

How does the system handle Nigeria grid instability?

The 20MWh containerized battery storage provides automatic backup during grid outages. The EMS detects grid failures within milliseconds and seamlessly switches to battery power, keeping factory production lines running, agricultural cold chain at required temperatures, and residential areas powered - critical where grid interruptions cause both financial loss and disruption to operations and daily life.

Is the system suitable for Nigerian climate conditions?

Yes. The system is designed for Nigeria high temperatures, humidity, and dusty conditions. Containerized storage features IP54-rated enclosures, active climate control, and corrosion-resistant materials. Solar panels use PID-resistant cell technology suitable for West Africa intense UV radiation and tropical humidity. Local Nigerian engineers were engaged to provide technical support throughout the project.

Welke garantie en service na aankoop worden geboden?

Solar panels come with a 25-year linear power output warranty. The lithium battery energy storage system includes a 10-year warranty (or 6,000 cycles, whichever comes first). Our team provides on-site installation, commissioning, grid synchronization, and ongoing remote monitoring with on-call technical support. Local Nigerian engineers were trained and supported throughout the installation process to ensure sustainable long-term operations.
