Project Location and Background

Located in Laguna, it maintains temperatures between -18°C and -25°C, preserving frozen meat, seafood, and dairy products. Monthly electricity bills previously exceeded PHP 320,000. The 100kW solar energy system cold storage deployment includes 180 high-efficiency 550W monocrystalline panels, 100kW grid-tie inverters, typhoon-rated mounting structures, and net metering interconnection. Installation was completed in 45 days.

Performance Results (Initial 3 Months)

- 30% decrease in monthly electricity costs, saving approximately PHP 96,000
- Annual projected savings: PHP 1,152,000
- 78 tons of CO2 reduced annually
- 99.7% system uptime

Expansion Plans

The operator is highly satisfied and has decided to install an additional 200kW system after several months of stable operation, aiming to achieve a completely zero electricity bill plan within 24 months. Total solar capacity will reach 300kW, with battery storage potentially added to address typhoon-related grid outages in Laguna.
