What is a 50kW 50KVA solar system used for?
Small commercial sites: a workshop, a cold room, a small hotel or a farm processing unit. 50 kW of PV with a 50 kVA hybrid inverter covers a daytime load of roughly 200 to 300 kWh.
What loads can a 50kW hybrid system carry?
Motors, refrigeration, lighting and office loads together, provided the starting surge is within the inverter rating. We stagger restart by 30 to 90 seconds on motor-heavy sites.
How much battery do I need?
Size it from the critical load in kW times the hours you need. A 50 kW site that must run overnight on a 15 kW critical load needs about 90 kWh of usable battery.
Is 50kW enough to run air conditioning?
Yes for several split units or a small chiller. A central chilled-water plant at this size needs its starting current checked against the inverter rating.
Can it be expanded later?
